Here's what a scientist says: "Ah, I see you claim the existence of a phenomenon. Can we reproduce it? If you bring in some other purported psychics, without telling them beforehand, will they agree on which houses have 'some kind of energy' and which ones don't? Does she declare 'hauntings' on every house?"
What has happened, time and time again, is that multiple psychics disagree with each other, and you can never find even two of them who "sense" the same thing consistently. Which means that each of them is indistinguishable from rolling a die and declaring "Six! It must be haunted!"
If you could find two (or preferably more) psychics who did manage to agree, scientists could set about trying to figure out why. In the absence of that, there's nothing to explain.
Reading minds, moving objects from the distance, predicting the future. For many years these abilities were thought of being superior by intelligent people. The reason? Not enough proof. The truth? If you look in the past, you can see that these paranormal activities were constantly used in political and military services, and the governments paid a lot of money for secret research.
The most gifted paranormal in XX century
November 1939. The polish jew Wolf Messing goes to USSR, escaping from the Nazi terror. The conditions were difficult even for him, even if he had extrasensory powers, which made him famous in the Soviet Union. He went straight to Stalin with these powers. In order to convince him, he steals 100.000 rubles from Gosbank from Moscow. Arriving in from of the bank office, Messing hands over a piece of paper to the cashier. The cashier looks at the paper and gives the 100.000 rubles to Messing. Wolf Messing thanks and goes with the bag full of money to the assistant of Stalin, in the room where he was supposed to do the experiment. How did he do it? He mentally communicated to the cashier to bring him the same amount of money. Messing prepares another famous experiment. He says he is going to enter Stalin’s office, passing by the guards, which received the order not to let him enter. Confident in his powers, Messing gets closer to the office, passes through the guards who respectfully allow his access, and someone opens the door. Stalin is astonished by Messing seeing him in the room. In 1940, an important soviet official, Nikolai Bulganin, wants Messing to find a lost suitcase which contained secret documents. Being in Nikolai Bulganin’s office, Messing visualizes a bridge over a river, near a church. He clearly says that the suitcase is under the bridge. The famous Polish with paranormal powers wanted to be the subject of many scientific experiments, but the Russian researchers were terrified by the threats of communist party and they never got to any conclusion.
Michael Echanis, an American soldier trained in the experimental Jedis project( known as Stargate Project), was the best of his colleagues. He could kill a goat in less than a minute, only by looking into its eyes. Jedis project was interrupted in the 1970s. Some people gave up due to their religion, others said it was irrational and is not related to war. Everything started in 1960s when the American researchers discovered that focalizing negative thoughts on yeast inhibits its developing. From 194 samples, 151 stopped growing.
The researchers contacted the famous Uri Geller, asking him to kill a pig, as an experiment. He refused, saying: “They asked me to kill a pig using only the power of my mind. I was shocked. I love animals and I will never use my psi abilities to harm anybody. I stopped the conversation and left the office. But I repeat, the solicitation existed”.
Uri Gelled didn’t want to kill a pig, but he participated in other paranormal experiments conducted by the Americans. In the 70-80s o secret project was developed – Start Gate, following the testing of paranormal abilities of many mediums. Its purpose was using “paranormal weapons”. Uri Geller, Ingo Swann, Pat Price, Joseph McMoneagle and many others were involved in the experiments in 1974, when the technique “remote viewing” helped in drawing the draft of a military soviet base from thousands of miles away.
In a letter from 1973 to the psychologist Gene Kearney from Harvard, the researcher Igor Vladsky discloses the existence of a secret base psychic research in the N-W of Leningrad, named Black Box. At that time, the soviets were able to steal documents from big distances or to damage equipment. In the 1975, a report presents the most recent parapsychological discoveries about PK-psychokinesis. The text mentions the names of famous parapsychologists: Nina Kulagina, Vinogradova (levitation) and Ermolaev.
Kulagina was able to affect living tissues and on humans. Vinogradovas’s power wastelekinesis and levitation abilities of Ermolaev were used in order to activate or deactivate the power sources, to steal military documents or software. In 1978 is opened Grill Flame, the American Ministry of Defense program - Control Remote Vie-wing, conducted by Defence Intelligence Agency. Initially it was known by 12 people from the Pentagon and Secret Services. They had the task to spy an American consul in the Mediterranean area, from where the Russians get information. They discovered a listening post across the consulate.
In 1979, Joe McMoneagle, a famous psychic spy was part of this program, saw at the shore of Mediterranean Sea a green light that he associated it with nuclear radiations. Then it was said that an American bombardier had lost an atomic bomb. The team also discovered the place where an American helicopter crushed in Peru along with the burned bodies of the pilot and the copilot. Even if nowadays information are not so numerous, some get to us.
The Rolling Stone magazine published an article revealing that the American army commanded the trained soldiers for “psychological operations” to manipulate politician who visited the country, in order to get many teams and money for the war. “My goal in psychological manipulation is to play with people’s minds, to make the enemies to act as we want” – said the lieutenant Michael Holmes to the reporter of Rolling Stones. When he received an order to do this also towards the American politicians, Holmes refused, saying that it is illegal. Then he was sanctioned. This is an example showing that paranormal techniques are still active in military and political purposes, even if the public is mocking about these practices. So, are psychics real?
I think this is the most obvious evidence of the existence of the psychic.
In my opinion, There is a great deal of difference between a psychic and a medium. The fact that evidence can be validated later if not known by the sitter and the sitter has to call for third party or even fourth party verification is consistent with true psychic ability. There is also a great deal of scientific research that has now gone as far as to validate the very real presence of abilities beyond the normal senses. A true medium will be able to give you evidence that can't have possibly have been known or found out and that further supports the hypothesis. A fraudulent psychic or medium will clearly show themeselves as a fraud by the level of eveidence they claim to give, the generality of statements and the need to know prior information. If the individual asks for money to clear curses or claims to be able to call on spirits, they are most likely fraudulent. a good medium or psychic should be able to validate personal information and information that should be validated by a third party. This is what we call a double blind or triple blind reading. There is far more involved and I could write a book just based on this.
